John Kerry

First,
In watching Kerry speak today, I am confused. I didn't hear him say one thing about what he can do for America. I did hear him use false information. The thousands of tons of missing explosives he claims are missing. They were never there, however, Kerry is still trying to attack Bush and Cheney saying they didn't do a good enough job securing it. How do you secure something that isn't there? Ask Kerry.

Second,
I've been hearing how Bush is not pro-life cause he "sent our men and women to war." Let us examine that. First, pro-life implies that Bush a)supports the abortion ban and b)is for people living. Well, he does endorse a ban on abortion. So that is one check in the pro-life bracket. One against Kerry. As for that second check, Bush seems to support a war in which people die. I suppose on that standard, none of us are pro-life, some of you smoke (that kills) some of you drink (that kills) some of you drive cars (they have been known to cause death) some of you eat fast food (that contributes to bad health which can kill) so it sounds like none of us can take that second check. Unless of course you think that a standard THAT extreme is ridiculous. I sure do.
Now, Bush did "send" people to war. Did those people he sent know what they signed up for? I wager that yes, they did. They did sign up for the MILITARY. Most people know that if we are attacked or if we decide to wage war for safety purposes, we usually send the military first. It seems odd to me that people are fine with Kerry killing the helpless children before or as they are born, yet Bush is the devil because he ousted a man who put people into woodchippers feet first so he could hear them scream as they were eaten alive. Whether or not you like the war or think it was legitimate, you are naive to think that Sadaam could have been reasoned with.

So, while I am not the biggest Bush fan, I think that John Kerry has no answers for America.

Don't take any salt. This is all true.

I agree, too. I saw a picture on the cover of US Weekly with pics of all of the lives lost in the war against terrorism and according to this article each picture was supposed to represent a reason to hate Bush. I think this is such a stupid statement 1) If you talk to most military people they are pro-Bush 2) Who knows how many more lives would have been lost on our own soil from terrorist attacks if Bush had not taken this stance against terrorism.

(this may be a double-post, if so, I apologize)

There are numerous points that reasonable people can disagree on related to Bush and the election, however, it seems that there is a lack of things reasonable people can agree on regarding Kerry and the election. In short, for most of the left, Kerry is not a choice- he's a lack of options.

Kerry advocates very little actual positve programs (and the ones he does are economically infeasible), rather, bases his entire campaign on criticizing Bush. One would assume that at some point Kerry would advocate a change other than giving Iraq nuclear fuel, instead offer a positive difference rather than a harshly-worded critique of the Bush administration- however well deserved (or not).

As you said, Jeff, I haven't heard one single thing "he can do for America".

Excellent post.

ERRATUM: I of course meant giving Iran nuclear fuel.
