I have this tough question running through my head: How does one gain or acquire salvation?
I know what I've been taught and told through my 21 years, but today it kinda hit me. What is our acceptance of salvation. I mean, the elderly with alzheimers? The Mentally handicapped? I know my grandfather was a devout man of God. I know my sister loves Jesus with all her heart. But, my grandfather passed away without a single memory from his life and my sister cannot fully grasp the Christianity proposed by most people. I mean, can people revert back to before their "age of reason" is that real? Is God, in His perfection, just choosing who is deserving? Give me your thoughts, cause I'm wondering how this works.
I know that none of KNOW how it works, but I'd like your insight.

It says in Romans that each will be judged according to the amount of "Light" shown. When I find the reference I will give it to you
Jeff-
This is one of the reasons I embrace the form of Calvinism that I do. My belief in the power of God through the effectual call allows me to say that He is more powerful than mental illness or handicap, reaching down and redeeming His children regardless of their physical status.
