Saw a bit of heaven last night.

Last night was concert night! Stacey, Jerod, Jon, and I hopped in my car and drove down to Sac State to see what may very well have been the best concert I've been to.

The evening started with a definately Emo band called The Academy Is. Jerod and Jon and I met the drummer earlier in the day at guitar center. TAI was pretty good. The singer wreaked of his Taking Back Sunday influence though. He danced and sang like Adam.

The second band to (dis)grace the stage was Armor for Sleep. The singer couldn't hit a note to save his life. I don't know if it was really his fault though. The sound guy sucked and all I could hear was the bass drum. So, he may have been having the same problem, but either way, I didn't care for there faux attempts at being Emo. With lines like "the sidewalk lends me it's back to walk upon," song titles like "car under water," and album titles such as "What to do When You're Dead," I half expected the next song to be called "Autumn Wakes with Tears in Decembers Wilted Death Run Through the Dying Unicorn." Either way, didn't care for them.

Then came the moment I was waiting for: Straylight Run. They were amazing. John and Michelle are the best brother sister team in music. They just rocked. They turned some of their songs into techno beats. But, mostly, they just plain rocked.

The headliner, Something Corporate, blew me away. I've been a fan for a while, but they were beyond words. Jasen, they are playing in NC on April 23. You WILL go see them. I mean, I'm expecting a laid back piano rock concert. They put on the best show I have ever seen. Watch this little clip. The way he rocked his piano was insane. Oh, and Konstantine... my goodness who didn't want to cry during that song. If you have never heard Konstantine, go download it. NOW.

Anyway, Jerod and Jon are still sleeping, so I should stop typing. I need to wake em up so we can get to practicing. Camp starts tomorrow and we have only 8 of the 30 songs practiced. So, long day. Much love people!

Well, Jordan, I don't much know you. And you kept running away from us. I was too wrapped up in being with Stacey, the girl I adore with my all. So, everyone, Jordan drove up and was there. She said one or two things to me. I said about the same amount back. PEACE
