Is there a way to petition that Pat Robertson be excommunicated? His recent remarks about Dover, PA, are outrageous. He sounds more like a terrorist than a pastor. So, I don't know.. Leave comments let me know your thoughts about Pat.
Here are some of the recent quotes:
"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God. You just rejected him from your city"
"God is tolerant and loving, but we can't keep sticking our finger in his eye forever," Robertson said. "If they have future problems in Dover, I recommend they call on Charles Darwin. Maybe he can help them."

Ummm, Excommunicate him from WHAT? As far as I know he doesn't belong to a particular church or Protestant sect. Do you mean boycott his TV show or convince people to not give him money?
Yeah, excommunicated, boycotted, whatever. He's rediculous.
put him in jail for something... inflamatory remarks, intimidation, false statments, threatening the venezuelan pm, defamation?
excommunicated sounds good too, preferably to a non-christian country.
boycotting fox for letting him on hannity would be a start.
now there are some statements that we can rally around as believers!!! God effing hates dover! that is exactly what i signed up for when i became a christian tell pat whos in and whos out who should i love and who should i hate. i love it that he is a spokesperson for christianity! i think he should be exiled to dover.
Jesus Our Guide
May we take you, Jesus,
Seriously enough
To accept all persons
Even when they disappoint
Or dispease us,
And love them as you do.
Amen
Several years ago after a horrible hurricane in Florida, Pat said that Floridians all deserve to be killed off in natural disasters because of the huge gay population and the acceptance of that 'lifestyle' (I'm sure he also implicated the large Jewish retirement population there, too). He has also made the amazingly un-forgiving and omnipotent comment that any women that has an abortion is on the highway to hell (I guess he doesn't believe in the repentance/forgiveness that are such a hallmark of the faith)!
In essence, Pat has been on the rampage (and running for President) for years! I think this is the type of behavior (or comment) that really turns off non-Christians from the faith. And its a problem that Pat and the lady with Pink Hair and Kirk Cameron are the Christians that are on TV all the time!
It's unfortuate that the Christian faith is so scattered/ fringey--anyone can claim to be a Christian and have their own little interpretation of the Bible...Personally as a Christian who prays/ studies the Bible/ attends church nearly everyday I am moving away from the idea that the literal and personal interpretation of historical events/ Biblical texts/End Times prophecy (like Pat and crew) is even useful or Holy. I don't think it's about God, but about arrogance! Some Christians act like they know everything, but over and over again just seem Hateful, ignorant, and definitely in the spirit of Anti-Christ (Anti-love, Anti-brotherhood, Anti-acceptance, Anti-forgiveness, etc).
I don't remember Jesus being obsessed with political elections, banning evolution from public schools, hating gays or protesting abortion clinics...God help us!!!
