Is it just me, or is the future f'ing scary - Cody B

Yes, Cody, it is. So, Brock (that's Cody) and I were talking again last night. We always seem to get in deep life talks. I can't tell if we are just on a different level friendship wise or if the alcohol effects us that quickly. Anyway, we are sitting in the spa, martinis in one hand, wine in the other (this is sounding so homo-erotic right now) talking about life. We got onto the subject of love. Not with each other, we are both taken. His girl lives in Idaho and mine lives in Sac. But, in love, there seems to be many coincidences. Cody's girlfriend asked him what the most romantic moment he could think of was. After a week of thinking, he came back with his answer. He chose the Bible story of Jacob working for Rachel then waiting seven years and getting the wrong wife and having to work for seven more. Not too long after that, his girlfriend has to move back to Idaho. Coincidence? God trying to speak to him? All this to say, how do we discern a coincidence from a "sign" or affirmation? I mean, Stacey and I have had innumerable amounts of what seem to be affirmations. I just pray they are. Not really as deep as I wanted this to be, but oh well. It's how I spent my evening. With Cody. And the guys at GreyStrokes. PEACE

Not sure if you really wanted an answer to your question, but here it is anyways: Prayer.
Being in prayer and continually seeking God's will with little regard for your own will is how you know the difference between an affirmation and a coincidence. At least this has been the case in my own life.
Anyways...love ya,
Kristin ("Mom")
